"SHOOT!" - What is it?

SHOOT!  A Colorado Photographer’s Reality,  is a new reality show that was taped entirely within the state of Colorado using Colorado video production professionals.  Taping ended this summer, and broadcast of the first program will premier on Colorado Public Television (channel 12) September 21, 2010 at 7:30pm.  The Prize package for the winner of the series Continues to grow each week.

The Premise

The Premise of SHOOT! is simple.  Six contestants were chosen from an application and casting process to appear in six (6) half hour long episodes. Each contestant was paired with a Mentor (a professional photographer) to assist them in achieving the best results from each challenge.  The Mentors assisted each contestant in all aspects of the contest including but not limited to lighting, staging, composition and post photography enhancement.

Meet Our Host - Adiamond Baker

The Producers at SHOOT! are very pleased to have Adiamond Baker as our host on this cycle of the Series.  Adiamond has worn many hats since her graduation from Englewood High School right here in Colorado; a student, a model, a political correspondent are just some of her accomplishments.  At 23, she obviously started her diverse career early in life. Meet Our Judges

 We are very proud here at SHOOT! to introduce you to our Judges for Season One!  Don Cudney, Kristy Wingfield and Andrew Clark have agreed to use their incredible expertise and real life experiences to judge the six contestants this season.  Both Don and Andrew are professional photographers and have thriving businesses, Don as a Commercial Photographer and Andrew as Destination Wedding Photographer.  While Kristy is a advertising and web guru who is business is helping other businesses meet their potential on the web, in traditional advertising and specialized Brand printing. 

We consider ourselves quite privileged to have such an esteemed group of entrepreneurs judging the work of each contestant.  Should you be in need of a photographer, getting married or trying to run a business in today's economy, you should contact one of our Judges for more information.  These are truly some of the best Colorado has to offer!

Meet Our Contestants

We looked long and hard at almost 200 applicants before we decided on this season's six contestants.  We are very proud to have this group as our first.  Each is a great photographer in their own right and we think that with the help of their Mentors, each one has the opportunity to not only fulfill their goal of becoming professional photographers but to win the competition and become this years Champion.  Without further ado, let us introduce this years six great contestants!

 Meet Our Mentors

We were very fortunate to find our team of mentors.  We received almost a hundred applications, asked most of them to casting and decided on Demetrius Austin, Matt Alberts and Victoria Morley.  

Demetrius is the owner of Photography by Demetrius and he concentrates his photographic vision working with seniors and youth sports.  Demetrius is well known for his use of dramatic lighting to capture one of kind images of his clients.  Matt Alberts is the owner of MattAlbertsPhoto.com and is an accomplished wedding photographer working in the intermountain region.  A quick trip to Matt's website reveals his knack for gorgeous non-traditional imagery.  Victoria is the owner of Captured by Victoria and her concentration is on people photography.  Whether Victoria is shooting weddings, family portrait, children or corporate work, her images are highly regarded by her clients.
